LAURA PITCHER – HAND THERAPIST

Laura qualified as an occupational therapist in 1998, choosing to specialise in hand therapy early on in her career. She has completed relevant post graduate study to become an accredited Hand Therapist (BAHT) enabling her to provide expert hand therapy and rehabilitation to clients with hand injuries and conditions.

Laura is based in Wirral, treating clients in North West England, and North Wales. She has developed her clinical skills in various locations, including the NHS, private settings and she spent some time working in Toronto Canada. She regularly attends the annual Hand Therapy conference and other post graduate trainings to ensure up to date knowledge of research treatments and assessments.

Memberships

Working with clients with acute and chronic hand conditions, Laura provides assessment, treatment and advice to increase function and improve overall independence.

Using a holistic approach, Laura works with clients post trauma and elective surgery and long and short term conditions affecting hands including arthritic conditions, tendon repairs, fractures, scar issues, hypersensitivity, nerve injuries, various conditions including Dupuytren’s contractures and fasciectomies
